Crafting with Cat Hair Book
One step beyond being a crazy cat lady, is saving the cat hair to craft a massive army of tiny cats that do all your dirty work and help you get revenge on all your sworn enemies.
Perhaps this could be the start of your new new business venture. Turn trash into cash. You were going to just sweep it up and throw it out anyway.
Make little finger puppets and other cute, cuddly, and furry toys (and other stuff) with this amazing book called “Crafting with Cat Hair”. Originally written by Kaori Tsutaya then translated from Japanese to English by Amy Hirschman.
What would it be like to craft a sweater for your dog with cat hair…or a play toy for your cat made from dog hair? Would the universe explode?
I think this is a great idea for people who are into this type of thing, but personally, I don’t need it as I have a dog and 2 cats and basically all my clothes are pretty much mostly fur as it is.
Can You Actually Knit with Cat Hair?
Yes, this is not just some prank gift or silly joke to pass around social media. It’s a real thing, and if you think about it, it’s not really crazy at all. A person who is skilled and really into knitting and crafts might complain about cat fur all over the house, then go to a store across town to buy material made from a sheep many miles away.
Meanwhile, sitting on your lap is a ball of fuzz that is sort of like a sheep, except it looks like a tiny lion.
I understand the cat fur can not replace every single need from a different material, but there are plenty of crafts you can do with cat hair.

What’s Inside the Cat Hair Knitting Book?
Here is a top secret inside sneak peek inside the book. Just kidding, I just grabbed these images from Amazon.
Here is a sample of the easy to read layout and instructions you will find inside the book.
Here is a more specific example. This is project #9. Mittens and Gloves. The point here is that you can actually make real stuff with cat fur not just a few little tiny things as a goof.
I initially added this product to this site as a “haha, look at this funny ridiculous thing!” and now I’m sitting here looking at my cat thinking “ok, I need to try this now.”
One problem though, I don’t know how to knit. Ok, I will collect the hair and take the book to my friend who knits. And after they slam the door in my face, I will yell “Come on, there’s 50 bucks in it for you!”
I will update you and let you know how this goes!
Knitting with Dog Hair
If you are more of a “dog person” (like myself), then may I suggested an alternative? “Knitting with Dog Hair” is a book that suggests it is “Better a sweater from a dog you know and love, than from a sheep you’ll never meet”.
I can’t argue with that statement one bit.
